Party On Garth!
Roppongi, Saturday 26th June.
With another successful season over, there was just a matter of handing out trophies to the winning teams while consuming copious amounts of alcohol.
This year a new venue was used. Bar Double, who's owner plays for Stoneds FC, proved to be a nice location to hold both the captains AGM and the awards party with around 150 people attending on the night.
Apart from the usual Champions & runners up trophies, there were 2 new additions this year:- Ref of the Year (Orlando Torres) and Manager of the year (Hirokazu Maeda Zion FC). For all the photos of the night click here

League Winds Up as World Cup Winds People Up!
|
Tokyo, June 19th, 2010.
In the final match of TML season 7, the Sudanese Lions team shared the same fate as many of the African teams in this years FIFA World cup being played at present, losing 6-2 to a resurgent Geckoes team. Not that many Europeans can poke fun at the bad form of the African teams. England being uninspired, France heading for an early bath, Italy unable to produce the goods and Spain & Germany suffering shock defeats.
The TML has seen all this and more in a season where Hibs regained the upperhand over rivals YC&AC and BFC to take the Cup & league double. In Division 2, IFG Panthers dropped just 5 points over the season to lead the table by 12 clear points at the end. Division 3 was led by Saitama JETs 2nds for much of the season, only to be pipped at the post by King George FC and late runners Stoneds FC, who took the final promotion spot.
The End of Season Party and Award Ceremony will be held on Saturday June 26th from 8:00pm. more details...
